But actually the copper of pre 1982 cents is not 100% copper. We still refer to it as copper though.

What year is it? There is a lot of funky stuff that goes on with Zincolns that doesn't go on with other cents.

Actually a brass brush would not have scratched it like that. I was looking for one of those old ink eraser pencils that had a brush on one end.
