Man made and not done at the mint. It's a neat novelty but that's about it.
A number of them had a small blemish from the mint and they were still sealed in mint plastic bags. I doubt they are worth the cost of grading.
NAV Doubling
Very nice but die cracks don't really add any value. Looking at the torch I don't see a FT or Full Bands. They all appear to be struck from worn...
Nice catch Mike. The date didn't register with me. I was looking at God coin for doubling and hhe heat must have gotten to me. No air conditioning...
Also, the 1864 Horses pulling Canons is about a $40-$50 note in decent condition. Lately, the price has been double that if not higher.

The same goes for auctions. People are paying over top prices for some items, not just CSA Notes.
That's normal. Just watch all Zinc Cents and you'll see it all the time. It's a weak spot in the design.
