Plain and simple, it's damage. You can see the displaced metal on the upper right.
That's the term for it, molted. It's not toned but it's spotted so someone came up with this name and it stuck.
The obverse says it all.
It's only fancy in ones own mind.
I've posted all of the ones I bought and just have a couple of Quarters so here's one of them. This one has molted toning.[ATTACH][ATTACH]
Usually I can get good photos but every once in awhile they get fuzzy. I think is more a blurry cell phone lens than me.
