I just checked, and I have two 1827, one is square base 2, in F-12, O-112, R-3 the other is curled 2, VF-30, O-119, R-3. Perhaps they should...

There are also albums that will help to stop toning, like the Dansco, plus their special sleeves.
If I remember correctly, there was a couple that was speending these like crazy, all over the northeast. They would even leave a roll of quarters...
cc51: There are a couple of varieties, but otherwise, junk silver. Unless, of course they are from Special Mint Sets, then a bit more.

okay, in your second picture you can see the scrape mark below the built up metal, IMHO, it is post mint damage.
