Sounds like someone had these rolls in their collection and decided to sell them for face value. Nice but not worth the cost to grade them.
Your coin is stained and the reverse is a minor MAD or misaligned die. It’s only worth a quarter. Welcome to CT.
You have what’s known as split plate doubling which is very common to these cheap zinc cents.

It’s a zinc cent and I think what you see to the right of the mint mark is either damage or a zinc bubble that popped.

Just a tiny nick on the collar and a little bigger one on the cheek but that rim bruise did me in. That’s why I said a 62.

I’m at a MS-62. I was going higher than I saw the obverse rim bruise and the reverse.
