It’s been damaged. Copper is soft and is easily moved.
It took a hit and caused the soft copper to move, thus forming an M instead of the minted N. A neat find, one which I would keep. :)

I would keep that coin myself. It is very nice and lacks the usual wear seen on these type coins.
