Haha yeah I have to use a box cutter to open my air-tites. They work well in general though but not for odd shaped coins.
Then the coin world holders may be your best bet. There a bit expensive but work well & on a side there is a notch that lets you open them petty...
If you dont want them professionally graded then "Con World Slabs" have one. I have a large size bust half and they made one for that size and it...

Well my 1872 I got was a F12 and it didnt surprise me cause mine has alot of hits on the front where the reverse eagle looks exactly like yours....

Its pretty much all you mentioned as well as low grade very common coins like 1942 mercury's and such.
