My guess would be that there are more Registry Collectors looking for PCGS examples of these coins. And the population is somewhat lower for PCGS...
I'd say you did fairly well. The Peace Dollar I have seen go for as low as 150 (must have been few eyes looking at the time) all the way up to 414...
