partial to the older stuff myself.
Thanks for your replies. Any large cent attribution gurus want to take a shot at it?
Pretty. worn down but you can still see the date and reverse is fairly strong. Bargain price at $36 I thought. AG-3 details?[ATTACH] [ATTACH]...
Thanks for that info!
don't have coin yet. seller pics
when I googled 1858 cent with cud by date it came back as cud-007. Not sure so I e-mailed Rick Snow to see what he says.
very nice!
Bought this coin because of the large cud by the date. Google says cud-007. Any idea if this might add value? Die collector interest...
I was thinking small fraction.
This one has more detail than some recent coins I have posted. Surfaces although not pristine don't look too bad.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
all I meant by this is the coins graded G-4 by all 3 major grading companies are there to view by anyone. You are the one who commented about...
nice one for $35
yes I can tell the difference on a coin with a clear view of the date. This coin has either wear or a bit of damage around the 4 that makes it...
not sure. Think it might be plain but hard to tell by the picture.
Little rough like most coins of this type are. What is she worth ballpark?[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
E-bay doesn't grade the coins on their site so integrity problems don't apply in this case. I should have said G-4 sharpness or detail left on...
and that's a fair comment. G-4 sharpness is probably what I should have asked in the first place. For $50 I don't think you can find many coins...
you are free to voice your opinion but I don't have to agree with it. Go look on e-bay at all the G-4 graded coins and see what I am talking about.
The coin has at least as much detail on obverse as the PCGS 4 coin does.
surfaces are definitely not as smooth and nice as photo grade coins but I am not trying to get the coin graded and for $50 I think I am ok price wise.
