All that dark stuff in the crevices makes me think it's had some kind of cleaning. A few hairlines too. But not bad looking. JMHO. I'm interested...
I think it squeaks out a 63. Definitely MS.
I once owned a similar seated dollar, in plastic from one of the top two. It bothered me to have so many $$ tied up in a coin I just didn't like...
Maybe just the pic, but the date and some of the lettering looks off to me. The D in Dollar looks too narrow, etc. Let's get some more opinions.:)

You're right. Not sure why some grade circulated morgans so low. Yours is at a minimum F15, debatable VF. But it is cleaned.

If the brush scratched it, it's damaged. Soaking in acetone would have been much better.
