German medal. NGC PF64 [ATTACH][ATTACH]
The coin depicts the LZ-127 aka "Graf Zeppelin" which was launched in 1928, but made it's most memorable flight in 1929 when it travelled around...
We have a winner! Weak strike but with very original fields and nice color. Thought it might sneak into an MS holder, but no such luck. Correct...
I picked-up the 1911-c along with the 1917-c and 1919-c at a coin show about 12 years ago for a hundred bucks each. Raw, but easily at least...
Another fairly recent acquistion. Whole bunch of these were for sale on eBay a few months back. Now only one, and priced at twice what the...
Wee bit nicer. MS64
My favorite would have to be the 1917 Newfoundland George V penny. At one time I had the silver 50 cent coin, also 1917, in something like MS60...
Okay expert graders, ---what's your slab label going to say on these two?? Here's a hint: One coin is 4 points nicer than the other....
My only British Crown, 1902. Old Edward VII would make the antics of Harry look pretty benign in comparisson, paternity suits and everything....
Getting very hard to find collector coins in gold for under $300 that are nice. Picked this little gem up in a Scottsman auction at the Missouri...

Was never inexpensive. Even then, --around 1990-- a crown costing $35 was not something considered common and inexpensive, though also not...

And this one came in below expectation... Really thought it would 66. At MS65 it's tied for finest known with 5 other coins. [ATTACH][ATTACH]
And here's the coin that came in above expectation... I would call it an EF40 but I can live with the AU50 if that's what they say this coin is....
Just got my coins back from NGC. Overall, about what I expected. Out of 5 coins, one higher than I expected, one lower, and one that was a bit...
Nice. Would appear to be original coins, something pretty elusive for such a common coin. For every nice original example there are a dozen...
