Something like that you'd expect something would be engraved or counterstamped on the encasement. Maybe they never got around to doing it. Bruce
That's a nasty looking thing. Maybe the reverse was smoothed so that something could be engraved on it. Kind of a small coin for that though....
A WW2 victory pin most likely. This one looks like it had a pin attached at one time so that it could be worn. Bruce

Looks like something covered the right side of the coin and left the left side exposed to something that toned it. I'm not really seeing the tape...
