Just a normal circulated zinc cent. I see some marks where you point out, but it is not lettering or numbers.
I don't see anything out of the ordinary on the reverse, where are you seeing lettering?

I see a slightly misshapen E, not a 5. It looks like it may be from a worn out die, and additionally took a hit from something damaging it....
I am not familiar with that model. Are you using it with the cable from the coil to the control box as it is in the picture? It should be wrapped...

Coins can tone/stain any number of colors. Who knows what that or any coin has been through since it was minted. Normal quarter.

Just a guess, but I would say someone cleaned it up, not being able to get the areas close to the letters, and devices.
No, has a cast appearance and lettering and devices don't match up with original.
What is the weight? Is there a visible seam on the edge?
What tests did it pass? It appears to be the usual cast copy.
