I never buy coins that look like an oil slick in a puddle, after a rain storm.........for that matter, I don't buy into the 'toning' madness.
A new collector should not be sending coins into any of the grading services until they've gotten a bit of experience on how to grade coins..........
You need to learn how to grade..........it don't happen overnight, and it takes some time and experience to determine grades........accurately....
