I don't think they'd put it through today either, still a cool toner.
Bah...cop out. It doesn't meet their "look standard" for a toner, doesn't mean it's AT.....definately one to crack out.

Luster wins again, it's a blazer!
Oh yea! Lady luck is with me!
Pretty coin!
Looks like a BW coin....who cares about the water, that coin ROCKS. LOLOLOL
That coin is outta this world! :thumb:
1981 is a common year for these. We've discussed it quite a bit and I think it's caused by the planchet sheet rollers.
I think they were a little hard on it, still a nice example.

I think you mean "custodian". I refuse to scrub toilets! LOLOLOL :D
HAHAHAHAHA....I've been working on this mystery for years. I eventually tossed all of mine after I couldn't figure out a good use for them.
100% quality. I'm far more impressed by a small collection of really nice coins versus boxes of low grade stuff. Which would you rather enjoy...
If it's junk silver, why bother? Leave those poor coins alone! In 100 years from now some collector may actually appreciate the coin for what it...
That's a great way to completely ruin anything that's left of a coin. :(
The coin was simply coated with an organic, sulfur based material. It was definately NOT toning, just nasty gunk.
