I bought a 1849 coin from same seller a couple weeks ago that had the same lighting that made coin look a bit orangish. in hand it had that nice...
same fence I was on!
thanks guys. I was thinking around 40 or 45 but wishful hoping for 50! :)
Think this one might make it to AU? Thanks Jerry...
Got this lot today. Liked the 53 and 39 color the 33 is a bit strange in color dept. What grades would you give them? Jerry...
good coin for the price!
it might a little bit to someone who collects those types of coins
I would say the coin has G details and with some corrosion on it 20 to 25 might be a bit high of an estimate. If surfaces were good and not...
looks real to me. die rotation is very possible.
looks AG3 to me. aproximate value of 25 dollars I would guess
might have overpaid a bit for this one but I liked the die crumbling in the letters on the reverse. Looks like N-2 with maybe midstate die state?...
thought this one looked pretty nice. Already had one of these but I do like those wavy lines on the reverse! :)...
just got grellmans book and am trying to practice at attributing some coins. This one I did not bid on but I thought it sold for a fairly steep...
much better in your pics
your coin I think is pictured on pg 55 and its a close date with stars away with a square-serif letters reverse. R-1 rarity thats my best guess! :)
decent looking coin. Hard to tell the color from the pics. Little bit of corrosion but not too bad. vf details seems right
it also lists a different reverse die that is much more common and only R1 you need to post a pic of reverse to tell which one this is.
I think I saw this coin in The Cent Book on pg 54 He called this version close date with stars away. R3 rarity. Nice coin by the way!
it looks maybe F2 to ag3 details to me. Has a lot of corrosion on it so as far as value goes I would guess 20 to 30 dollar range.
kind of fun to take a gamble now and then!
