I think F12 details, cleaned/scratched. Value for a G according to numismedia retail is about 30$. Retail, of course. I don't think the coin in...
I like the coin, 1st year of Civil War, good obverse strike, and not cleaned or dipped to death. A nice example!
attractive coin, average strike. The toning is in a nice crescent that accentuates the central design. It still isn't a coin that makes me say...
Just added this to the collection, 1814 E/A VF30, subject of a recent GTG thread. [IMG][IMG]
Really can't grade proofs from photos with much accuracy as hairlines may only show at certain angles. That being said, I'll guess PR65, CAC....
"The general who never lost a bottle," ha! That's a good one.
NIce looking old silver half. I'm partial to the 20/19 overdate.
I'll go with VG 10. Lots of dirt in the recesses, I doubt cleaned, photos just look a little washed out . Good luck on the grading submission!
Sorry, I don't have a slab photo. I'm thinking 35 seems about right, but again this isn't a series I know a lot about , and all the die clashing...
The person I bought it from said he thought it was a bit undergraded. Honestly, I think it looks about as nice as an XF40 for sale on a prominent...
NIce! I'll guess AU55.
it is in a straight graded holder. I have also looked at it closely under a point source light and don't see any signs of a cleaning.
I'll post the pcgs grade tomorrow evening. Thanks for all the guesses and comments so far.
uh-huh.
I'm not much of a CBH variety collector, but I like the ones with strong die clashes, the overdates, the "blundered" dates, coins that show how...
Looks mark free at least in critical areas, booming luster, nice color, 66+?
O108a, with the heavy die clashes. A difficult coin to image, as the die clashes reflect light at odd angles, and there is a big die bulge to the...
agree with the die clashes. weak stars are very common in this series; in fact Bowers has written that he has never seen a complete set of MS 3...
Interesting tokens. They must be pretty fragile, being hollow. Thanks for the election history, too. My old high school history teacher liked...
would roller marks look any different? How so?
