Didn't need to. A large, circular mark, following the arc of the coin is a dead giveaway of counting wheel damage.
Ah, yeah, I forgot about the incredibly deceptive "double cast" technique. Sneaky.
Looks more like counting wheel damage.
5% of FMV or $25, whichever is higher. In this case, you'd be spending more than it costs to buy another coin on eBay just to have it certified...
Cast from what? Unless it already was dollar store jewelry, I don't know how you'd make a proper mold.
I would say it's pretty neutral in terms of eye appeal. I would not dip it.
One of mine is actually a coin from my birth year. :) The other two are double eagles.

I'm not entirely sure that coin is either ancient or Indian. Does it have a reeded edge?
Much later than that, as I'm sure you know. Spanish and Spanish colonial silver was legal tender up until 1857 and probably circulated longer...
That's a cool set, with the serial number the same, but different years and FRBs. :) Do you specifically look for notes numbered 70077777 or...
That makes sense. :) I've never gotten close enough to the threshold in one go to make it worthwhile to do something like that. Also, most of my...
Maybe the sale was not on eBay. In any case, I would do what you're doing as well. Error seems the most likely cause of the confusion here,...
I agree. Coins are relatively hard to photograph. How many times have we seen people posting terrible photos in the "What's it worth?" forum,...
