You got 50 rolls of Canadian cents from an American bank? I used to live in Michigan and I don't think I've seen that many Canadian cents in one...
I wouldn't speculate because it literally can't be an unaltered product of an official mint. The minting process itself makes that impossible.
It's most likely an altered coin created from two genuine coins. See https://www.cointalk.com/threads/two-headed-two-tails-coins.1561/
Here I am a whole 13.5 hours late to the party, and I can't see the pictures because the listing's removed. :(
MS-too-fuzzy-to-tell. :)
Some people collect slabs, and, for those people, the coin inside is secondary. It's also kind of cool to have an old holder. Neither of these...
Too tough for me! Looks like the coin is cockeyed in the slab and makes it really hard to get a good picture.
What term do you prefer? "Die marker"?
I agree with this in principle (and 100% agree with the remainder of your post). However, every online dealer I've dealt with has offered at...
I don't see any significant damage on the O, beyond normal circulation dings and wear. Remember, we're looking at an image where that letter O is...
I believe it's referred to as a "filled mint mark." This is a pretty nice case of one. :)
http://www.numislit.com/ seems to have a pretty good selection. I'm not sure how much truly old stuff they have, but it's a starting point. :)

If you're literally just after silver and only care about poundage, buy from whoever has the best price. If you're after something more than...
+1 to this. When a dealer I respect says a coin is PQ, I pay attention to that. When some shlub on eBay says a coin is PQ+++, I hit the back button.
I wouldn't buy 1 coin from them, much less hundreds or thousands of coins.
I've never heard that one. Is it supposed to mean the same as "monster"?
Pretty sure ICG will slab a fake in a holder that says "counterfeit" all over it. I thought of another term that really annoys me too: "making"...
Looks like maybe an ANACS 8(?), which puts it at no later than 2004. That coin's been encapsulated for over a decade.
He said "most places." As in, if you're looking at a 100+ year old silver coin, and it's "blast white," that means it's been dipped sometime.
