Alicia, not too many people have a weighing scale, but you can take coins to jewelers to have them weighed or if there is a college or high school...

There is some contention (Doug...are you there) that acetone will discolor copper. If these are kind of trashy already, probably no problem....

I think it does. If I were to buy some coins thinking they were 90 or 92.5 or 99+% and found out they were 40%, I would be upset.
