Looks like an AU-55.
The mint has done studies of circulated coinage which was returned to them, and compared the weights with the nominal weight. It found that on...
Because the technology and handling processes have improved. Also, because Kennedy's are only made for collectors now - and they demand perfection.
I like it as a 65. Grading services have loosened and tightened repeatedly throughout their history, but that one looks accurately graded to me.
Nice strike. I like the high relief on these more than the flat coins we get now.
I love the color on that! How are the mirrors? Your pictures don't make it look very... proofy.
Those usually go out in early/mid December. I'll be there! And we will miss you Chris. Between you and Shane, I'm surprised they let us keep...
I don't see anything on this that indicates damage or cleaning. Its a strong 62 with a shot at a 63.
Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Treashunt - that type of info is (usually) in my entry in my Registry set. I have it linked in my...

Yep. AU details, cleaned.
I would call it a 64+. The cheek limits the grade. However, these are often graded liberally, so I wouldn't be surprised by slightly higher.
Blazing luster and generally mark free, with eye appeal to spare. However, the striking issues limits it to 66 in my book.
Anyone interested in facts, and not the rampant speculation and numis-myth that is pervasive in this thread, should really check out Roger...
With the recent pickup of a Barber Dime, I have completed a subset of my larger Prooflike Typeset - all of the Barber coinage. It is interesting...
Since we are apparently limited to 20 images, and there are 35 coins, I hope you'll pardon the "Part 2" thread.... [IMG] [IMG]...
Just recently sent my entire Franklin collection (with a couple of exceptions) to Great Collections. Please take a look! This was a hard choice,...
As discussed elsewhere, I think the time has come to sell this collection. I have immensely enjoyed building it over the last ten years, and am...
