To be honest the lighting and the color of the image make it tough to tell much about breaks in luster. It has the look of AU-50.

No way to know the degree of rotation from the images. 90 degrees sounds right for a premium. Has anyone ever seen a Merc. with 180 rotation?

I'm not sure that was a counterfeit marker. I thought they were a yellow color and turned dark if the bill was bad. Over time the yellow will fade...
