FWIW, when I blow your original picture of the steps up, I can see that the third line goes the entire way across with the only break as that...

There is something about having the coin in hand (and even out of the slab) that is a bit more convincing than a picture.
I don't see anything I would think would kick it below a 63.
I think they are both 66's BTW, you must have one heck of a flash to be able to take pictures like that with a flash.

That is a funky looking die crack, but OK. I will go with 66.
I am nearly certain it is not a die crack. However, someone could convince me it is on the slab.
I think that gash on top of his head is really on the coin (as opposed to the slab). I went 65*, but if that mark is on the slab, it could go 67.
Uhm, 5 steps? WRONG, but it is still a 66.
That looks like 5 steps to me. 66 again
Why? NGC does not assign split grades. The coin may be split, but I guarantee the assigned grade has is not a split grade.
Remarkably similar to the other but with a touch of toning. Guessing it would add a star. 66*
I don't see full step. Nice 66 but not a *
Too bad this one has been cleaned because I think it is unc. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
