8 Boxes of cents. Terrible results this week: Wheats - 57 - 23 off of my 10 per box average. OUCH. Errors/Varieties/etc - 1997S Proof(my 3rd...
Thanks. That was the exact info I was looking for :)
Why would it be copper though? As I understand it, nickels are an alloy and not plated like dimes and quarters. If it was a lamination error...
But but but....it has a 1909S on one end and a "VDB" reverse on the other. It's gotta be legit right?:p
I found this in a roll this weekend and was wondering if it was an actual error or PMD. I'm leaning towards PMD but figured I'd ask the experts...
Cool. How much off center? I've searched ~$5500 in cents and have only found one off center. It's about 20% off center.
Just curious - What types of errors are you finding?
But in the time it takes that to happen you are losing more money due to inflation.
1902? That'd be a "V" nickel ;)
It's flat and shelf-like...
Nice score. When I was just starting CRH last year I bought $5 in CWR from a bank near where I was working. I got 3 solid rolls of wheats mostly...
Agreed. MD.
Most of the methodologies on this and other coin collecting forums would say to NOT CLEAN COINS :)
Good luck. That is quite the challenge.
My $400 in ASE's doesn't :) I do love wheats though.
I used to prefer copper until I realized that $25 worth of copper takes up a ton of space compared to a nice little silver ASE :)
If you figure that 25% is copper then I have gone through approximately $1300 worth of copper cents.
That's a lot of $$ to move.
The time it takes to sort it out, put it on the 'bay, wait to sell it, get my money, ship it out, etc... isn't worth it to me. It's not like...
If you can get that, kudos to you. I gotta say, my time is worth more than that though.
