I bet a bath in acetone would get rid of it.
Looks like glue to me or some other kind of funky nasty stuff that has crusted on to the coin.
Looks like it to me too.
I certainly wouldn't pay $5 for it.
I don't think it's off center enough. Is the reverse off center too? I'm guessing it is just a MAD and fairly common.
The first dime looks like an off-center like you said. The other 2 look like PMD to me.
That's kinda cool. That's a lamination yeah?
I've heard of people doing 3x the amount of boxes you have done and getting skunked. Just the name of the game nowadays I think.
It's shiny but not a proof. :)
The rims don't look squared to me.
Grabbed a box of dimes on the way home from work. 46d and 57 in the same roll. That was it. I'lll take it :)
I use open office. It's free and I like it better than the newer versions of microsoft.
Agreed
+1 for excel here :)
Possible plating issues or zinc rot then?
It is a lamination. I dunno if it's worth anything more than melt. War nickels are notorious for having lamination errors.
My vote is for grease filled die.

I see what you are talking about. The only thing I could think of error-wise would be a dropped letter, possibly from "Pluribus" on the reverse....
It's not an error. Ask yourself, why/how would there be nickel on the back of a copper cent?
Separate names with a comma.
