Nice looking wheatie. 1955 was supposed to be the last year that they minted circulation cents in San Fran so tons of people hoarded them hence...
One bank I use will not sell me the bags off the machine but the other will. I've had good luck with bags from the machines.
How do you get rid of your dumps?
The 3 branches most likely use the same armored car company. At least that's how it is with the banks I deal with. I have an account at one bank...
Something displaced the metal in those areas. Nothing more. You are right with PMD.
You can get a decent loupe for $10. Well worth the investment.
Dump them if you don't plan on searching them. If you plan on searching them, do that, THEN dump them. :)
I don't think yours is a RPM. It looks more like a die gouge or a die chip to me.
Just finished my 3 boxes of cents for the week. Nothing fantastic but there were a couple neat finds: 37 wheats (oldest: 1939) 1 1943-P Steelie....
Here is one of my LMC Struck through late stage die cap: [ATTACH]
Thanks. At first I thought it might be PMD but when I took a closer look I realized that it wasn't.
I'm pretty sure it's the "A" on the lower right about 5 o'clock. Looks like at 7ish is an anchor which is the privy mark.
Here's a crusty LMC that was struck through a rim burr I think. [ATTACH]
I love them too. I just have been piling up all the extras I've picked up from CRH'ing :) If I had infinite funds I would keep them all.
That's what I was thinking too. There are soooooooo many for this date. What were they doing in 1960?
Congrats. Persistence pays off.
Well he'd probably like to put it on the site.
You should contact BJ Neff. He would probably want to put it on his site if it's a new one.
Nice one. What year? http://www.maddieclashes.com/
Don't bother with him armando...it isn't worth the effort.
