I defer to your vastly superior knowledge :)
Thanks. I'm not all that great at explaining these things.
So, it isn't a cud. Beyond that I'm not really sure.
FYI, this is a good reference site for cuds: http://cuds-on-coins.com/
If it's a cud there should be some metal displacement on the other side.
Picture of the reverse of the coin please :)
I didn't think the zincolns could have laminations? It looks like a die crack to me.
Ack! Where is the reverse picture?! :)
The little thing by "R"? I doubt it'd add any value. As for the quarter, the pics are a bit out of focus. It looks like maybe a cud? Better pics...
You gotta point out what you are looking at...
Def wouldn't spend it at FV. It's 40% silver.
This'll hopefully help out: http://www.error-ref.com/
Looks like a grease filled die :)
I'm fairly confident it isn't a 9. May not even be an 8. :P
1998 to me but it's a tosser with all that damage IMO.
Again, as stated in your other thread, they generally aren't worth anything beyond face value.
Die cracks "usually" come from the rim inward. Yours, as was stated in another thread, is most likely a die chip.
A few are "collectible" like the BIE. But as a general rule, they aren't very valuable.
It looks like a die chip. If it's on 22 of them then it most likely is.
I had to google it... :)
Separate names with a comma.
