Here is an example of a retained lamination that I was able to peel from the coin. My best lam find to-date. [ATTACH]
Yup. I'm gonna go with a lamination then.
Gold is denser than silver. I dunno...could be completely off on this one... That whole 1,000 pounds of feathers vs 1,000 pounds of rocks.
Looks like a lamination. What is the year?

That is the only nickel CUD I have found. I think they sell around $15-$20 on ebay. Cool find :)

Finished another 4 boxes of halves(all I will be getting for the month). Looks like the silver is starting to dry up in this batch. I only pulled...
4 more half boxes this morning: Box 1 - 64 Ken, 2 40%(66, 76S Silver) Box 2 - 2 40% 68Dx2 Box 3 - skunk Box 4 - 1 40% 68d

:banghead: I keep...clicking...these...posts....

Silence is golden...
Maybe Loomis in different areas have different practices but I doubt it. Loomis is my sole supplier for halves and pulled 7 90%(mix of walkers,...
I use vinegar/salt with all my dateless. It at least makes the whole coin look the same. I don't know if it would eat away the nic-a-dated...
The bottom coin may be a proof? It looks frosty. Check the edge to find the mint mark.
Is it struck through? It looks almost like it took a hit. Those marks look like the reeding from another coin. Either way, it's funny :)
