Just before my time
That thin edge of copper on the side means it’s clad and only worth a dime.
Oh my, he’s already a jail bird. Lol Cute, and I take that to be his Halloween costume.
I’d keep the $20 and spend the rest. The serial numbers on each bill are nice and unusual but nothing fancy about them. A note collector would not...
Very nice finds and they both look in newer condition.
Randy, by your thread title I was expecting to hear of a new grandchild. Still, I was not disappointed. :)
Glad I’m not the only one feeling what’s it’s like to be so close to filling all those holes. Beautiful coin and I don’t think I could have...
I think it was caused by a worn die and it doubled pretty nicely but not a doubled die that you want.
All the issues you see are caused by the cent being zinc and the die being over used.
A nice counter stamped cent. You can even see part of it on the obverse.
Definitely a poor mama doubled die. At my LCS they go for less than $5.00.
A beautiful looking coin. Congrats
RIP John
Hard for me to see but I’d have to say offs from a worn die on a zinc cent.
Exactly. I buy graded because I want it that way. I buy raw for the same reason.
In my opinion, anymore 1933 good coin is good. Coins in general are not good investments but it you pick the right one and hold for a long time...
Looks like it to me.
Now how did that happen? LOL Glad you found it. :smug::)
It’s either a weakly struck coin or it had a very small amount of wear on the high spots. Very nice looking.
PCGS is what I buy the most, followed by NGC, then ANACS. I don’t submit coins to be graded, I buy them graded.
