I'd be inclined to put Barbers somewhere in there, but only because they're so ghastly in low grades -- people actually used Barber coins for...
I sold some common silver dollars at the show this past weekend. A couple of them were coins that I paid less than $10 for (a rare opportunity,...
Nope, not as long as Google can choose to land every search for "should I wash coins" on this very thread. If anybody's claiming cleaning...
No, you said "I had less than $6 in each one. I sold every one of them to dealers at a premium (today)." It wouldn't be worth a road trip, but...
Dealers around here are back of melt for 1940's Walkers in that condition that aren't cleaned. If there's a magical land where VG-ish cleaned...
I'd like very much to have contact information for a dealer who pays a premium for obviously-cleaned, average-circulated, dirt-common-1940's...
I'd have more respect for him if he didn't have that tourniquet cutting off circulation to his brain while he's working (as opposed to impressing...
I typed up a lengthy rant about this change a couple of days ago, then I discovered the link to the auction I really wanted was still available,...
Ouch. :( On the other hand, if most weren't mishandled, the well-treated ones wouldn't command such a premium...

Hmm. Most of the photo-adjusting tools I've used have an adjustment tool that lets you set a black level -- in other words, anything darker than...
Is there something going on with the rim on both sides, or am I just misreading the photo?
All fakes, and worthless (although they may sell for a dollar or two as novelties).
Trade dollars were minted from 1873 to 1885. None were ever dated 1797. It's a common fake, probably silver-plated, and worthless.
If you're ever in central NC, look up Josh Bobbitt. Example: he's going through a stack of Morgans I'm selling to him, naming buy prices. "$27....
Don't forget to make it a fuzzy picture. Low-resolution, showing only one side of each coin, maybe only part of one side for the ones around the...
Breaking it down that way, I'm not so sure. Anybody with that kind of cash to lay out for a bag of coins would almost have to be somewhat savvy,...
Wonder if they're planning to do VAM attribution on every single one? (Edit: @Dave Waterstraat beat me to it.) A 3x3x4 SDB is pretty...
