Honestly, I wouldn't think it adds anything over the regular melt value of the coin. Again, laminations are pretty common for war nickels.
Like TJ said, it's a lamination. These are pretty common on the war nickels. Still, cool find.
Reject it my way... ;)
My grandfather left me some coins, which started me down this crazy path. Unfortunately it wasn't anything like what you have there. Pretty awesome.
Awesome!
Thanks. Unfortunately up here in MD I don't have the opportunity. I've been able to snag a few off ebay for decent prices though.
Nice lot! Where do you buy yours? If you don't mind me asking... I've been looking on ebay but they seem to be somewhat more expensive than I...
Picked this bunch of for over melt, not usually my M.O., but I really liked the silver coins it came with and the other coppers were very nice...
It's a U.A.E 1 Dirham. My arabic is a bit rusty but I think it is year 1428. Which is 2007.
Scratch/cut. not a crack.

If you look at a lot of cents you will notice that the area in question looks like that on a lot of coins. Not sure why the grease tends to focus...
They look real to me. Here are some reference pages that help me ID my cash coins: http://www.sportstune.com/chinese/coins/idpage.html...
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who had that thought :P
Nice find! I've only found 1 off-center in all my searches. Unfortunately, it was in the other direction so the date was missing. Cool that you...
looks like a wee-tiny little cud.
That's how I started too. Now I have an almost complete set of large and small cents :)
Got these in the mail today. The seller had them listed by country and date and had really blurry pictures. The only thing that caught my interest...
Yup. Google it :) No idea how long it takes. I imagine it takes awhile.
