I'm at 35. Nice coin.
They had those on display at the Fun show back in January. Cool stuff.
I have never known of Fun to charge a fee to get in. I don't know about parking.
You need to look at one coin at a time. Some may be worth the grading fees.
Pretty coin.
I'm the third. We have some storms that will scare the heck out of you. The only good thing is, they go by really fast.
Just Doug doing his magic.
It's fun. You really need a Redbook. They don't cost much and are loaded with information.
I was looking at the images on CoinFacts for the date placement. I first thought proof but went blind trying to figure it out.
Actually, that's the damage from the punch used on the obverse.
Can he do that in color? :D
Welcome to CT. Sorry but your coin is just damaged.
It's just plated. Fun to save but only worth face value. Welcome to CT.
Were these from a filled die or a worn die?
I want to call it a proof but not sure. My old book talks about these having a different date placement but I can't tell the difference.
I wish I could. How large is this show in relation to the winter show?
Years ago I don't think that PCGS would even grade these. Now they will. This is the only one I have with chopmarks. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Many collectors see these as just damaged coins. I see them as a cool piece of history.
They didn't put the P mint mark on the 1974s as well. Just a normal coin.
Welcome to CT. They are just normal nickels. Philadelphia did not put mintmarks on the coins those years.
