That is one small coin.
A very nice colonial coin that anyone would be proud to have in their collection.
It’s a slight MAD but you can see the ridge ring so it was minted by a worn die. Not worth grading but it would make a nice addition to a set.
I purchased all 7 varieties of the 1982 coins.
Exposed to extreme heat so damaged

As I understand it, Chris being retired and on a fixed income couldn’t afford the cost of the Internet.
My thought was metal shavings so to speak. It’s definitely a strike through but I’ve never seen a coin look like this from a strike through.
AU-50 at best but probably an XF-45. And it’s not a FBL.

Did you notice that the River on the left side of that monstrous coin is called E Pluribus Unum? It’s minted on the coin at the mouth of the river.
