Ugh, ok you're right. You have the holy grail. What do I and other people know? Did you learn about this on youtube too?
Plenty of materials used to plate a coin are magnetic...Look them up.
As many as people decided to plate. It was not done at the mint. It is considered post mint damage.
You don't need two threads of the same coin with the same picture.
For starters - How about you post decent pictures of the obverse and reverse of the coin in question?
I'm not 100% sure I understand what you are even trying to say. Perhaps I need another beer or two.

Maybe next time I am up visiting in-laws in the Boston area :)
The day you find a true doubled die I will throw you a party :)
No. Not even close.
Close is not close enough. It either is or isn’t. Does the one you are looking at have a number associated with it?
Junkers - all 3. Keep looking.
Did you check it against any resources? I am not seeing any doubling.
See, like was said earlier, very common. Unless you find some where the design elements are missing, they are worth face.
Interesting.
Small date. And?
Looks like Bud found a lamination. Cool find :)
Naw, different locations on OPs coin vs that link where the gold would be.
Looks like it was either plated or covered in something that has since mostly flaked off. That or it had something spilled on it that left those...
