That’s a common date nickel minted in Philadelphia.
Probably fake as the item in question is missing from the link you provided.
Looks like a worn die caused that to i me.
If the coin is bent it didn’t happen at the mint so how and where did it get bent? Outside of the mint is where it was bent and how doesn’t matter...
Out of circulation? LOL. That would be so nice I’d go broke spending money on everything I don’t need or could care less about just to get them. :)
Thanks. I’d like to put together a circulation set but I have a few other sets I need to finish before I start anymore.
Here’s my 1819 Bust Half Dollar. Even worn this Bust coins are appealing. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
If it’s MD or DDD. Either one is only worth face value.
Thank you.
I sold most of my extras in my antique shop. Did pretty good on them too.
Try using a lighter background.
It’s MD. This is my 1972 Doubled Die. I don’t have a D mint mark that’s doubled. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Looks like a worn die to me but does it make a difference?
If you just bought the coin I’d leave as is. You can always remove it later. If your unsure about removing it yourself, go to your local jeweler.
It’s a beautiful coin but I don’t like the commemorative coins. Glad you do. If you would like me to give you lesions on how to stop buying them...
Probably.
Best not to tempt fate.
Well that typo of mine was a blast! :woot:
I also agree with you John but the price was right. I felt the darker areas were recovering the low areas that were polished. At any rate it looks...
It fills the hole in my circulation folder. :)
