That's just silly. Statements like that come from someone that is just looking for attention. Few will believe it has any truth.
If you only have a coin or two to send in, it's probably a good deal. An option is to join the ANA. That lets you send coins to NGC.
We all have different standards and I see that as a good thing. It keeps things in a reasonable balance. Holding the coin is always the best way...
I love working with old wood but it's a bit tough on blades and other cutting tools. It's not safe to use anything that is not sharp or not...
