Beautiful! Byzantine (or other ancient gold) is, and probably will always be, out of my price range.
No. What you have is probably a coin with environmental damage. It possibly could be missing a clad layer, but we would need to see pictures to...
Personally, I keep them. I don't come across them that often. Worth much? No. But I still hold onto em.
Dang I was close. I didn't think about the 2 different piles. I wouldn't guess about the same for the other as well.
Bah beat me to it!
Incuse mechanical doubling.
Waiting at home on the edge of my seat...
There are a few on ebay that sold for ~$40-50. I wouldn't pay to have it slabbed.
lol no.
What he said. Not a doubled die.
There we go. I couldn't see it in the first pictures but that 2nd one at an angle is perfect. Congrats!
$46.75
Can you get a better/clearer/larger picture of the date and mm?
What are you smoking and where can I get it?
Take the nicest one from the roll and spend the rest
Common date and not anything special quality-wise. You'd be wasting your money getting it graded.
You are deffinitely seeing things because I'm not seeing things (pictures for example)...
Poor man's doubled die on the date. Not sure on the E. Either a die chip or a retained lamination. I wouldn't consider it a BIE variety.
1 cent.
That is an interesting lot with some really nice looking coins. Congrats!
