P E A C E. OUT.
Yep, that's pretty bad. Reported.
Thanks for the follow-up and explanation. Now, how about this thread? ;)
Yep, that "Lincoln-Kennedy Coincidences" bit is always extra cheesy. At least they left out the bit about Monroe, MD and Marilyn Monroe.
Got it. To me, the areas you circled look like they've received the same treatment as the rest of the coin -- again, I can't tell more from these...
I love the reference, but whoever decided on that layout for the data -- that person needs some education. I'd be happy to recommend a couple of...
I'm not sure I'm seeing the same thing you are. In most of the areas you circled, I see hits of one sort or another, but I can't make out anything...
It appears better-struck than many UNC examples I've seen, but the surface texture doesn't look right. I'd study this one very carefully in-hand.

Right there with you...
Yeah, I'm really admiring everyone's restraint here. ...almost everyone's. ;)

I keep thinking about all those class-ring alloys that were made with palladium because it was so much cheaper than gold or platinum. There have...
I don't see it as a cast fake. If it were cast, I'd expect a flange between the two halfs.
If I had the coin in hand, I'd see whether the top half is larger in diameter around the entire circumference, or if the two halves are offset....
I'd definitely let the auction house hear about this. I'm sure they're very proud of their brand, but they need to promote it in ways that don't...
Not into an old holder, I'm sure.
