Great Victory!
Very cool doubled die!
No father, but we have a crusty provencial son. Volusian AE27 of Dacia Obverse: IMP C C VIB VOLVSIANVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust...
I’ve got close to $2000 worth that I would gladly offload if I could.
It's gonna be hot for the next 2 weeks.
Nice! the 50d is one of two I am missing from my circulation searches. The other being 39d.
I don't know why/if it would have been worth it back then. It was just a thought.
Do you think it could have been "clipped" like silver coins used to be? Just curious.
I don't think the reflection is too bad on that. Absolutely gorgeous coin too.
Yeah, I take most of my pictures with my iphone6 and edit them with gimp/remove.bg/mspaint haha. I'm not sure my laptop could even handle...
I wonder what that type of material is used for in the minting process. Cleaning the gunk from the dies? Just curious.
I think you did a great job @KeviniswhoIam. I am not good enough to add all the fancy reflections on my images. Nor do I always take great images....
It was struck through cloth. Notice how the pattern is the same on OP's coin as mine.
These are pretty interesting. Do not have an example in our collection and wouldn't even know where to begin but I do find them to be pretty cool.
Looks to be struck through cloth. I don't have a cent, but I do have a half dollar that was struck through a piece of cloth: [ATTACH]
Solid top 10 @Roman Collector ! How many didn't make the cut? I bet they are still pretty solid coins as well :)
Thanks @Parthicus. I never even knew there were 2 different Orodes II's. I guess I don't have any Parthian coins. Oops :(
