This coin was struck right after the die was poished . It takes some time for the lines to go away, the more the die is struck, the more the lines...

!943 3/3/3 near date, 50 Cent piece . I've found images of the far date, but none for the near date . So I posted it on coins and Canada website...
Put some light on that mint-mark, so we can see it better . The ends are to dark to look for split serif
I still say 86, its much different then 5 ..
