Cool find - I just got a one cent from Barbados here. It is kind of fun to get something different every now and then.
Nice coins on the 1831 I would go VF30 to 35. I like it better than the 1829 - which I agree with your assessment. The 1829 has what looks like a...
I recommend going to heritage and checking auction results. The prices are all over the board - plus you can compare the coins to get an idea of...
I do not remember a commemorative from that year like that. Can you get some pictures? I am wondering if it is just a silver round.
Not me, but I have had orders go from in-stock to back order. A couple of times they bounced between the statuses - but eventually everything has...
Yep - nice theories. I do not know enough to speculate on them, but thanks for the reporting. Good thread.
I would try to return it. Hopefully paypal will back you - hope you used a credit card also as a back-up for stop payment. Sounds like you might...
To me it is just a fun hobby. No great opinion. The closest to a collector is my father, but he is only obsessed with high grade morgans. :)
Your so lucky....wish I could have seen that coin.
PS - you can always look on Heritage for prices on cleaned and polished 1877's. Also compare prices for eye appeal also. Just my opinion.

The guy was NARU'ed from Ebay. He had a whole ton of key dates listed as real that were obvious fakes. And guess where he was from - hmmm, thats...
Yeah - but just imagine whole pages of bustie beauties with some varieties thrown in. Not a bad idea.
I agree with this as what could be - my concern would be what I think is the haze on the coin from the pictures. Which could just be the pictures....
While I know this makes a difference in the scheme of things, but with this coin - who cares. This is an eye appealing beauty with a superb...
Yeah - looking for an update. Love reading this and hope to one day be able to attend one of these conferences.
OH - Okay. I don't know why I was thinking date set. I really like all the early bust coinage. I wonder if they have a capital holder for...
My would be bust coinage from the early 1800's. :) The problem is I do not think I have a complete set of coinage available for any of the...
I like it - nice coin. My swag is AU50 - not any good at grading these, especially with what looks like a weak strike. I do like the look of the...
300 is too much. My father got his for maybe $20 including S&H. Of course her returned his genuine 1804 for a full refund - including return...
