    Not exactly true, it's worth at least 1 cent and many that people collect counterstamps might pay a $1 or 2 for it.

    Interesting! I can't find much more on the web about the 1830 80 Reis and nothing with the 20 counterstamp. There's some with a 40 counterstamp...

    cleaning/conserving coins from circulation

    Ditto....ultrasonic cleaners are far too harsh on most coins IMO. NEVER use detergents/soaps on coins.
