Looks to be in the F15 to VF20 range. As for the spiked chin - can't say for sure, but I would expect it to be more obvious. Just my opinion.
Nice coin! Very nice indeed.
If it is real then it is worth the $100 grading fee, if not then at least you would know. Pictures will help determine if it is real.
It is possible, but I do not know. The ones I looked at look like the reverse at 7 o'clock - flattened rim with dentils still showing. I guess...
I see 900fine beat me to the punch on the 1831 quarter. I think the 1810 is a O-106a, but not positive. Can someone else confirm it? 1834...
Looks like the quarter is a B-4 R-1 coin. Maybe after dinner I will feel energetic and do the bust halves. :)
Okay - 1831 bust quarter F-12, couple of gouges - probably worth 80 to 110 in that range. The gouges were not distracting to me, but noticable....
OOPs - here is a link for shield nickels. I think speedy was working on one for jefferson nickels - do not have that link.
Nice coin, but that looks like machine doubling to me from what I can see. In the CPG there are several DDO's listed along with several RPD's....
Looks AU to me and yes it is cleaned. The obverse reminds me of one being polished, not positive with the pictures.
Closed 3. Darn shame about those scratches across the obverse - without those scratches I would probably say VG. And yes I think $10 is an okay...
I am going to say both are 63's by a tpg. I would probably grade them both 62's for the weak strikes and tick marks.
Ping to the top....still waiting to hear from snaz on the canadian halves. :)
(1) Know what you are collecting and be able to identify problem coins. (2) Only buy with clear pictures. That includes PCGS and NGC - see (1)...
Very cool coin Kanga. Love the color on that bustie.
According to my grey sheet at the top MS-64 and above are red brown coins. I just assumed(maybe bad on my part) that below MS63 it was brown.
Not up on seated coins - G-4 cleaned maybe $20. 1834 Large Date Small Letters O-105(I think) R-1, F to VF details, scratched somewhere between...
Gopher those prices are probably more realistic for a problem free coin. As eduard stated this is probably a good price for the condition of the...
F-12 details, rim damage and probably cleaned at some point causing the black spots. No idea what it might be worth, but I think between 20 and 40.
LOL - why - because the red book only covers a few varieties. There are hundreds of varieties in bust halves and depending on the variety the...
