You could be right regarding the chain of events. I didn;t realise the a TPG would offer that service. I only knew that any new VAM attribution...
Beautiful coin. Nice die cracks and what looks to be clashed on the reverse. Probably got a CC bump, so I am at MS65 PL. Overall, a wonderful example.
I don't think a third party grader can designate a new VAM. As far as I know it has to first be analysed by Leroy VanAllen, to accredit a new VAM....
I saw that too, but for a while now I have been trying to help him educate himself, a couple of recent posts shows the he believes that close...
Here is the known one, you have the coin in hand so try to match it. It should match exactly, not close or similar....
