There are only about 4,000 1909/08 Saints, the only overdate in the Saint-Gaudens lineup. That's why the MS-63 is still pricey in that grade....
They're not super-rare...they ARE out there. Maybe strecth for an MS-67 ? :D
An MS-66 CAC 1908 No Motto Saint OGH will run about $4,500 to $5,000.
Any folks active in the 1990's who can shed light: were the entire 19,900 Wells Fargo Saints graded/certified....or were about 10,000 or so held...
Remember this.....NO SAINT-GAUDENS Double Eagles are as plentiful in MS67-69 grades. So if you want a Saint in those grades, this is the cheapest...
For the OGH holders ? Absolutely !! They are the ORIGINAL holders for the Wells Fargo Hoard coins....even if undergraded you'd rather have them...

It says Wells Fargo. That was the hoard...you don't need the word "hoard" on it to know it was part of The WF Hoard. Do you need the word...
