All I need now are the 1793 liberty cap and the 1839/6. I can find the 1839/6 - but just not seen the right coin just yet.
And for $10 for an 1879 that is pretty good price in my opinion. Before running off and buying more I would recommend getting some books on them....

They also could have been cleaned before you grandfather received the coins. Dipped or polished is hard to say from the pictures and the glare....
