#1 isn't genuine since the date is recessed into the planchet.
Circulated three cent nickels from the 1860's to early 1870's are common and inexpensive. You should be able to get a decent uncertified one for...
Some day he'll be in a slab.
Here's pics of one of proofs I have in my set. I still have a goal of completing both proof and business strike sets. Over the years I've had to...
Probably marked for car wash money laundering.
Once again, a nice post from you.
I would go with 63BN. There are enough contact marks on the cheek to keep it from a 64. The images aren't sharp enough to see more details.
I hit the PCGS one but failed terribly on NGC. That's the problem with high resolution photos. If I don't zoom in all of the examples look FS....

@Beefer518, Thanks for answering my question. Obviously I need to do a better job reading comments:)
I went with a friend to a local stock broker in 1984 and decided not to invest my $2000 in Microsoft stock. At the time I was a naive 29 year old...
I'll go with 64. I don't see an ear so not FH. I'm curious about the scratch looking feature on the obverse from the L to the E in LIBERTY. I'm...
Back in the 70's the only holder I got was a beer holder that looked like a Pepsi can.
That all depends on ones grading standard. Accuracy to one may not mean the same thing to another. I'd rather see designations like "Well...
I admit I'm using my own standards. Sorry for not following what you asked since that is important to know. When it comes to what PCGS will...
