BLAZER!
try again
Interesting but this is what makes people think coin collectors are one year short of a complete set. :)
I stand chastised...
Any actual gold plated cent is worth a cent, if a merchant would accept it.
Don't give it away, then it won't be any fun to impress us.
Of course this opens us up to the coins that have a privy mark and a particular ruler that would allow dating.
Looking good so far. I'm thinking a day or so rinse with distilled water would not be a bad thing seeing as how the acetone has removed some crud.
Oh, ye of little faith... Calling @ed wood 654
Interesting read. Thank you. Need to start another thread to let people show their old dated coins.
Wonder if @ed wood 654 will take a crack at this?
Excellent, any from the 1300's...

Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Value 5.00 CAD (face value) Mass 31.1035 g (1.00 troy oz) Diameter 37.97 mm (1.4948 in) Thickness 3.29 mm (0.1295 in)...
I'm sorry, but I don't see 1424
[ATTACH]Sorry, not to seem flippant, but I can't see anything.
OK...I've asked Google and have mostly managed to confuse myself. I would like to know what is the oldest coin to have a date in what we call...
Actually there is a site called askgoogle.net
At the "clip" site, above "In God" there appears to be a raised lip as if it were cut from the other side. Perhaps @Fred Weinberg would chime in...
Check my post #13...I Googled it :)
