Looking forward to the fantastic photos.
The Mint Mark was moved to the obverse in 1968 1965, 66, 67 were all Special Mint sets and none of the coinage had a MM.
IN 1963 the MM was placed on the reverse by the Monticello. The D is correct, just not an RPM.
That has what is called MD. Machine doubling. It is flat and shelf like. This is not the same as a repunched mint mark.
MS65 I really don't see much contact under the toning. It just isn't blazing with luster like I would expect it too for a higher grade.
Squiggles was he a member here?
Ahh So, we have a joker around here huh. Send it to me I will buy you 2 dozen.
Most of what I was gonna say has already been said. I will keep it simple. If coin #1 had minimal contact. It would be my choice. I picked #2.
Glad to have ya back. I knew a Morgan might pique your interest. Thanks, your opinion is always appreciated.
There is a Die crack guide for 21' Morgan's to help attribute them. The dies were horrendous this particular year.
Like @Lehigh96 did in his thread it seems that there are a few that didn't see these GTG's over the weekend. @physics-fan3.14 @Morgandude11...
My first Silver Eagle in years. I liked the toning on this one. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
I will post the reveal later this evening. Great guess's so far. Glad to see that no one has crossed into the MS65 column.;)
This is in an old ANA soap box slab. The grade is MS65. The obverse is very dark, but not crusty. It is gonna fit in nicely with the soap box...
I found it right after I posted here.
A soak overnight in Acetone. produced some results but not as I expected. The thick green and pink is minimal, but it still covers the whole...
Those are IDB. AKA die chips.
Not much change after 12 hrs in distilled water. Off to the Acetone bath. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Add a few more likes to that column. Congrats.
