You have LOTS of coins I would give $12.99 for, but the ones from the OP, I wouldn't pick up from a dollar dish at a show.
The most common coins to try cleaning on are copper and silver. Other materials get tricky. Haven't had notable success with any of these.

Regarding coins and solvents... Starting with water is always good. Distilled if you wish, but I like to run the water in a sink until it is HOT...
